About the role: 

Corporate and Government Affairs is the function in charge of defining and executing Mondelez International’s internal communications, media and stakeholder relations, public affairs activities and community involvement plans for the company’s reputation.

As Corporate and Government Affairs Manager Czech Republic/Slovakia you will closely work with your line manager, the Government Affairs Manager Czech Republic/Slovakia/Hungary, to tell our company story and advocate for the ability to grow our business responsibly. In this role you will protect and strengthen the reputation of Mondelēz International.

Key responsibilities: 

Internal communications

  • Supports internal communications activities
  • Liaises with European and the Central Europe area to execute the region/area internal communications programs in CZ/SK

 External communications & Public Affairs

  • Supports and conducts media relations activities including interactions with general interest, financial and trade media outlets
  • Creates communications materials to support media activities (press releases, media dossiers, videos)
  • Executes strategies to support the advocacy priorities of the company (in line with his/her manager)
  • Prepares engagement with Government officials when required to implement the company’s advocacy plans
  • Engages with NGOs and Government Bodies
  • Interacts with relevant business functions to define company positions to key issues

What you will bring

A desire to lead the future for our company and accelerate you career with experience and knowledge in:

Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing (or equivalent)
Good knowledge of political environment, media, social media, Internal Communications
Significant experience in Public Relations                                                  
Ability to manage multiple and diverse stakeholders                                            
Fluent in English, native in Czech
Exceptional interpersonal skills together with the capability to develop strong relationships at all levels
Decision taking and solution-oriented mind set
Courageous and able to deal with change
Independent and proactive working style and team spirit
Agile in managing diversity and complexity across markets, cultures, functions and to deal with their complexity
Strong project management experience

The responsibilities of this position are performed within the framework of a regional business model that is defined and managed by Mondelēz  Europe GmbH, Switzerland .
